grobros are AC (“Tony”) Gros and AJ (“Drew”) Gros: two musician/songwriters looking to create seriously “good-tasting’ rock and roll” without being so serious about life or themselves. These guys just want to deliver the great sounds of rock, blues, and jazz-fusion, whilehaving fun in the process.

As brothers, native-born to New Orleans, they share in the area’s myriad of musical influences and in a life-long collaboration toward their sound and songs. They represent the driving force behind the various groups they formed over the years. As Drew likes to tell it, “Tony has always been the creative force in our work… sort of the spirit of the music. I like to think I shape those ideas, and help make them real… give them form. So, together, we bring the ‘body and soul’ to the music.”

With one foot in New Orleans and the other in Houston, grobros combine the driving guitars and vocal harmonies of classic rock with the soulful rhythm & blues of the South and the raw grit of Texas rock & roll. Add a light sprinkling of jazz fusion, and simmer over the warm flame of modern recording and production elements to serve-up timeless rock music for all ages.

In a time when we are constantly bombarded with messages, sometimes people just want to enjoy music without a lecture. That’s where grobros come in. The prevailing message in most of their music is universal and ageless: Love.

“Most of our songs are, ‘Boy meets girl. Boy or girl messes it up.’ But, you know… sometimes, they get it right!”, Tony explains between studio sessions. “Good music really doesn’t need to get more complicated than that.”
